THE KILL I saw the dead elephant Lying carelessly In a swarm of whining flies Brutally mangled Tusks gorged out Contorted limbs immobilised. There goes another one Another mammoth turned quiet One more vanquished For a pair of those whites To decorate one mantel piece Or add jest to one's #life. Wonder why this madness To kill and destroy To empty this world Of all that God made right Of all that was meant to live and die With us and beyond our graceless #life.

The Dawn My sleep deserts me by the first light of dawn I toss and turn Leave the cosiness and my sleep is gone. The soft rays of the sun beyond Embraces me in the glow of love I stretch and smile As the owl in the tree looks forlorn . The breeze dances and plays The leaves swings and sways Flowers nudge each other Bathed in the golden light of sun's rays. I breath again Sadness gone I feel sane Trust in God returns , I am game #life is beautiful ,World is great Re promise to smile through sorrow and rain.

I want to go deep back in history to know whether mankind indulged in as much violence as it does today. Cruelty, meanness and the sheer disregard for #life of others seems to be rising exponentially . History does indicate that savage wars were fought over territories and humans slaughtered humans in the mad rush to eliminate competition. But those were days of little resources and limited education . We have advanced eons as far as education and resource mobilisation is concerned. But brutality persists. We even kill without even knowing whom we are killing. We kill for fun, we kill for love, we kill for religion, we kill for sex. We even kill ourselves to kill others. I sometimes wonder whether we are turning ourselves in to terminators who cannot tolerate our same kind. So much blood, so much gore sickens me to the pit but we keep living our lives without missing our step. Were things similar when we started off in this world. I wonder ?
