Growing Old Have you ever felt the sands of time, Slipping through your toes? How your Grandparents grow down, As they grow ever old? When your parents forget whatever it is, That they have just been told? And your children start to question, Their #life you try to mould? Have you ever noticed that your bones crack As you rise up from your chair? That you can never find the stuff, You're sure you left over there? How things take longer to do, Than they ever did before? Remembering names used to be easy, And how now it's just a chore? But with all that said, #life is but a gift, Just think of all the people, That never got to live. Growing old just means you've had a very lucky #life, Of that you should be proud, Just remember that the next time, You complain the music is too loud!
