One To Remember...Chapter5 I ran towards her crying as Luke called an ambulance. I cradled her in my arms and she just fell, if I picked up her arm, as soon as I let go it fell to the floor instantly. After Luke made the call he came and helped me position Lucy so she was safe and checked she was still breathing etc. I was too panicky to check if she was still alive and if she was okay, it all became too much. There were people all around us staring and there he was standing over me. Joe. Why did he have to come back?! What is he doing targeting all of us. First, Chloe, break her heart, then Lucy, make her unconscious, who's next, me!! Before I got a chance to think too far ahead we heard the sirens of the ambulance pull up outside the house. Within a second the medics were rushing in with a stretcher and pulling Lucy onto it and then suddenly she was gone and back in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. I needed to get there, she couldn't be there on her own. But I wasn't old enough to drive and Chloe was, just, but she was to much of an emotional wreck, who had also had too much to drink to be able to drive. So I was stuck here, leaving Lucy at the hospital on her own. That's not fair. I rushed upstairs, back to Chloe to tell her what was happening and that we both needed to go. Luke stayed downstairs and made sure everyone was evacuating the building, Joe last. Once everyone had gone, he punched the idiot, breaking his nose. But he could sort that out for himself no one wanted anything more to do with him. After everyone had left, Luke came upstairs to find us. He had a car parked out the front, and neither him or Jake had much to drink, so they were sober enough to drive us to the hospital. They drove manically through several red lights but this was an emergency we needed to get to the hospital for Lucy, what if she never woke up?! No, we couldn't think like that, but that thought was in the back of my mind. Luke pulled up to the entrance so the rest of us could jump out and run in while he found somewhere to park. I headed straight for the receptionists desk and was just able to mutter why and who I was here for. She led us through many long corridors to a room at the end of the last corridor in the building. The walls were white and it was spooky, it didn’t seem right down here, I could tell something was wrong. She showed us into the waiting room that appeared empty at the time and the three of us sat down waiting for Luke to enter and Lucy's doctor to return. It seemed like forever before anyone came in and then when Luke finally came in, he sat down next to me, I felt reassured. Until I saw the doctor heading towards the door...
