My First Day Hi, my name is Harry Cooper and I'm an 18 year old pop star from England. Right now, I'm in one of the most popular boy bands in America, but that's now. Five years ago my parents got divorced and my father wanted to be no where near my mother and neither did I. So, my father and I packed our bags and moved to America. That meant a whole new #life in a whole new school with a whole lot of strangers in a new country. It sounds crazy and it was everything but normal. That's why I decided to share it with the world. So here it is. This is the story of my first day of school or even worse, my first day in America. Five years earlier I felt the splash of ice cold water on my face causing me to jump out of bed as my father stormed out of my empty bedroom holding an empty water bottle. "Thanks, dad! You're the best alarm clock a kid could have!" I yelled to my father. I looked out the window to the beautiful beaches of Orlando, Florida instead of the busy streets of Homes Chapel, England. I sighed, realizing I was gonna be home sick and that it wasn't gonna be easy. I looked at my watch. It was 6: 46. I only have 20 minutes before the bus to my new school arrives. I opened the box with my clothes in it and my favorite outfit sat on top which is black skinny jeans, a white v-neck T-shirt, a black tuxedo jacket, and a pair of white All Star sneakers. I put it on. I dragged myself to the bathroom with a comb, brush, and toothbrush. I stared at myself in the mirror for a few seconds. I hope this is a dream. I hope I'm still in England. I brushed my teeth and fixed my curly, brown hair until I heard a bang on the bathroom door. " Ok, pretty boy, if anyone needs more time in the bathroom to fix themselves it's me," my father said," and you have about 10 minutes before your bus comes." I slowly shrugged out of the bathroom, quickly glanced at my father, and headed straight for my "room." " I know it's not England, Harry, but we'll make it home." I turned back to my father who was holding his collection of hair care products and smiled. I put a bunch of school supplies in my old back pack signed by my friends in England. I got my keys and put them over my neck. I put on my lucky jewelry including my mom's necklace. I put music on my phone and plugged in my headphones. I went downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed a quick snack and finally headed out the door to the bus stop. There are only a couple people at the bus stop and not one of them didn't take the time to get a look at the new kid. It didn't even bother me because I decided to mind my own business and play Temple Run on my phone. Something or someone touched my shoulder. I took a quick glance to see what it was and turned back around. It was a person. I turned back around, slowly. It was a girl. Not just any girl, but the prettiest girl that I've seen in my #life. She had curly, brown hair that ended a few inches below her shoulder, sparkly hazel eyes, and the brightest smile and all I could do was stare at her. She waved her hand in front of my face and began to talk. I can't hear her. Why can't I hear her? She was pulling something out of her ear but her hand wasn't holding anything. "What are you doing?" I asked her. I can't even hear myself. Everyone else at the bus stop was looking now. The girl in front of me pulled something out of my ears. That something was my headphones. "Oh. Thank you," I babbled. "You're welcome. I'm Ashley by the way and you are?" She said, holding out an open hand. "Ummm…Harry, I'm Harry,"I said, smiling while shaking her hand. "That's great," she said looking at her hand," You can let go now." "Sorry,"I said, releasing her hand. "Are you wearing color contacts?" she asked, staring into my eyes. "No." " That's your natural eye color?" " It sure is," I said, blinking my eyes. "Not a lot of people have such blue eyes. You have very pretty eyes," she said, still looking in my eyes. "I was thinking the same about you," I said. "Thanks , Harry. So where are you from?" "I'm from England." She nodded her head as the bus noisily stopped at the curb. Everyone was holding their ears. I could see why my ears were popping like they did on the air plane. "I should've told you to cover your ears. I forgot you were new. You wanna sit next to me on the bus?" Ashley said. "Sure," I said as I walked up the steep steps. In my head I was far from cool and confident. I wasn't saying sure in my head I was questioning every step I took. "Harry watch out!" In front of me Ashley was tumbling down the steps. It was too late to move out the way. I fell backwards under Ashley down the hard and dirty steps. A few of my necklaces pierced into my stomach when Ashley fell on me. I clinched my face trying not to yell or cry. I definitely can't cry right now. My vision got blurrier by the second. I covered my eyes. Ashley's P.O.V This is just perfect. I finally meet a cute guy and I fall on him. Every other guy in my school has a crush on me. They all want to date me, but they're all jerks. Something about Harry was special and I fell on the possible guy of my dreams. I pulled up his shirt. I couldn't think straight or move I just looked at him. Not because of the scars. I'm staring at him because he has the perfect body. He has a v-line, abs, and biceps. "Is it bad?" Harry asked. "Uuummmmm…" " Watch out, Ashley. We need to get him to the nurse," the bus driver said behind me. This was all too much. I got back on the bus and sat in the nearest empty seat. The bus driver put Harry right next to me. This when the unexpected happens. Harry took my hand. He was holding my hand. I stared at our hands and back at him. He was smiling. He just got stabbed and he's smiling. He looked me straight in the eye. "It's going to be OK." My eyes widened. He said it like I'm the one bleeding! Like I'm the one that got stabbed! It was so… brave. I have to date Harry now. I just have to. It looks like I'm going to have competition. There are several girls surrounding the seat either staring at Harry or looking like they want to kill me and it was scary. "Move!" the bus driver yelled," We have to get the next Taylor Lautner to the nurse if that's OK with you!" Our bus driver knows how to calm us down. He does it by making some really bad joke and it always works on me except now. Before the bus driver took Harry, his attention was locked on me. "Ashley I l-" His eyes slowly closed. And the bus driver carried him out of my sight. I was devastated. What was he about to say? Did he just die? He left me sitting here with so many questions and it was like ending a book with a cliffhanger. Curiosity overwhelmed me. I started to cry while the other girls watched me. I just sat there and cried until my eyes shut just like Harry's.
