The Black Pearl Yo, Ho. Haul together, Hoist the colours high. Heave Ho, thieves and beggars, Never shall we die.' Captain Morgana Jones rocked her new born lightly as she hummed and whispered the lyrics to a song she knew too much about, the pirate's song. She stroked her child's forehead with a finger and swayed to a non-existant beat, twirling around the room as the baby laughed. Her blood red dress following her every move, gently brushing past her thighs as she danced graciously. "You're a beauty, you know that?" Morgana chuckled quietly as the baby finally fell asleep in her arms, snuggling her mother's chest and giving into her scent. After a few more soft bounces, she put the snoozing baby girl in the black spacious crib, the crib which had been a gift from her crew once they had found out she was bearing a little one. The Captain retreated a golden necklace from her own neck and secured it safely amongst the baby's neck, knowing it would come in handy in her future. Her baby would carry a great burden, a burden which her own mother had inflicted her with. Morgana walked to the nearby window and gazed out, nothing could be seen due to the thick fog. For a fraction of time, the fog cleared and her eyes widened as she recognized the boat tailing behind her, rapidly catching up with every wasted minute. She hurriedly raised her dress to her ankles and ran out of the Captain's quarters, whilst trying not to wake her child, the child being oblivious to the fact they were all facing death. "MR. GIBBS!" She cried out once she set foot on deck, pouring rain hitting her face and damping her dress. Her eyes darted frantically between the men who were hard at work, perfecting their duties. "Yes, m'lady?" Came his worried and strained voice from behind her, she didn't have to look into his eyes to know he knew of the fate that awaited her. "Take her to shore, find the Smith's, hand her to them" the Captain turned on her heels missing Gibbs by just an inch and hurried to the quarter deck. Her own heart beat against her chest harder than she'd ever know, she wouldn't be remotely surprised if it pierced through her flesh and bones. "But what about-" "Just! Do as i say Gibbs, no further questions" She glanced at the Flying Dutchman, momentarily shocked at how fast they approaching her. She had been waiting for the day Jones' would finally catch up, but she hadn't expected it to be so soon. "Yes m'aam" Mr. Gibbs followed his orders and retreated to the captain's cabin, quickly gathering up the little one's clothing and accesories, gently shoving them in a suitcase before he walked to the crib. He was going to miss the little baby's smiles and laughs when the crew were around her, but most of all he would miss the girl's mother, his Captain. He ran his hands over the crib they'd spent weeks building lovingly, a flashback ran through his mind when he recalled the Captain anouncing she was carrying a baby. He quickly snapped out of his trance and slowly gathered sleeping beauty in his arms while making hushing sounds so she wouldn't wake up. he pulled a black cloak around himself and the baby, to shield her from the pouring rain, and ran back to the main deck. "ABANDON SHIP, MEN!" Morgana roared through the pouring rain. A painful silence creeped up on the boat, piercing both, her ears and her heart. "Aye, you heard her" Clarified Mr. Gibbs, regretfully. The crew nodded solemly and began working their way around the deck once again, lowering the little boat. Panic was breaking out amonsgt the men as the Flying Dutchman rounded the pearl, it's cannons aimed threateningly at The Pearl. Everyone was aware that the Pearl could easily outrun the Dutchman, but running would do them no good, one had to face one's consequences. Captain Morgana shuffled over to Gibbs and lifted the cloak up for a moment, gazing down lovingly at her own child before placing a sweet butterfly kiss on the baby's forehead. She lowered the cloak and glared at Mr. Gibbs until a smile broke out on her rosy lips."Keep an eye on her, you know the rules." With a stiff nod and barely there smile, Gibbs turned and made his way carefully down the jaded steps to the chariot that awaited him. Once settled in, he tugged at the cloak and saw the princess sleeping peacefully in his arms. Two of the crew's men started rowing away, bowing their heads in sadness as the Pearl got further and further away from their grasp. "Oh and Gibbs? Make sure she doesn't lose the medallion, she mustn't ever lose it!" Captain Morgana shouted over the rain and thunder, hoping and praying that Gibbs had heard her. If her baby lost the necklace, she would never know her true self. Her background, her mother and her fate. She looked up towards the sky as rain droplets fell on her smooth fair complexion, opening her eyes and glaring at the blackened sky, she whispered her last words. "Don't forget the pact, Calypso"
