The House of Fear P3 Many times had Allyra wanted to end her #life. For she knew that #life was meant to be sometimes enjoyed. But the man left not an item that Allyra could call her own, much less commit suicide. She kicked down the door, using all the energy that she could muster, her legs collapsing beneath her from the exertion. The sleeping boy awoke with a startled scream. "Shh!" Allyra ran over to the boy and covered his mouth. She was unsure of what other surprises the house might hold for her. "I'm Allyra and I don't want to hurt you. I'll let go if you keep quiet." The brown-haired boy nodded, his eyes wide with fear. "What is this place?" he hoarsely whispered, "Why am I here?" She sighed, "I wish I knew. I wish I knew."

The House of Fear P2 It was obvious that two of them were not supposed to meet. He had been locked in a room in the east wing. Quite a distance from her room, in the west. It was quite by chance that she happened to find him, having decided that day to once again search the long-forgotten east of the house. He was not stunted in growth, nor did he look sickly. In fact he looked quite strong-a sure sign that he hadn't been there long. But fear was registered in his eyes. He had been targeted. Just the way she had, many years back.... * * * * * "Bye Allyra, we won't be long. Will you be okay here for an hour or so? We just have to do a bit of shopping," her mother smiled as she walked hand in hand with her father. Almost as soon as they left, the phone let out an ominous shrill, echoing throughout the house. If she could do it over, she never would have picked up the phone. She would have climbed up the stairs and hid in the attic. But she did pick up the phone. "I'm at your front door. I can see you. Come and open the door for me now. If you move, you will be dead before you scream," The Man growled. She was already in tears, as she hurried to unlock the bolted door. Anything was better than death, or so she thought. "Have a seat," snarled the dark haired man, "I have a few questions for you, and if you don't answer them..." he let the end trail off, putting her mind into overdrive. He then proceeded to ask her questions, like her age, where her parents were, and what was her greatest fear. She answered quietly, fear all over her face. And that's when he shoved her into his car, and took her to the House of Fear. * * * * * She came back from her daydream. She was 16, now, and that boy looked to be about 12. She then made a vow, to do everything in her power to help the boy. For her own sake as much as his. There had been no other person in this house for years, and she was tired of living in the house, all alone, and cold, from the inside out. Allyra wanted change.

The House of Fear She wandered around the dark hallways, aimlessly. The cold seeping through the numerous cracks in the walls, her skin coated in goosebumps. Yet oanother night in this house. If she stayed out here long enough, the cold could numb more than just her body. She knew it. She had done it for the past ten miserable years of her #life. She had long ago come to the conclusion, that escape was but a fantasy, whispered in the dark and quiet, of the hardest nights. The doors were always locked, and the windows were covered in iron bars, a constant reminder of the prison that had housed her for years. Her view from the window, was empty, silent and deserted. No one around for miles, to hear her piercing screams, echoing through the dark, empty house. He had made sure that this was a house in which fear and despair were plenty, with no way to an easy end to the pain. He gave her just enough to be living, too much to die, and not enough to find any sort of small joy in #life. She had spent months searching the twisted house and it's many passages and rooms for something or someone, but not a soul was to be found, nor any thing different to the last room. An empty bed and a jug of water. Four white walls and one square roof. Nothing ever changed. This was the despair that she lived in. Gloom, despair, fear and loneliness, day after day, year upon year. But then along came the boy.

Happiness "Your so much happier this year Cassie!" A statement that made her think; that left her, eluded of sleep. Was she really that convincing? It had been her resolution. To make everyone think she was better. So no one suspected a thing. And it worked. Much too well, as it left her with no breathing room for pain. No one to fall back on when she needed help. No one that knew she was in hell and had not yet come back, no one that knew her secret.
