A Heartbreak #poem First Attempt p A kiss upon my cheek, You lay your hands in mine, I felt safe and warm, Because everything seemed fine. The love flowed through my body, Illuminated my skin, As my light grew stronger, Yours grew dim. You proved me wrong, As your love for me failed, You left me in the dark, Leaving me crippled and frail. The pain still stabs me yet And twists its sharpness into me, It scars me with its burn. Why can't I forget and be free? I still want your stare, The feel of your skin on mines, The taste of your warm lips, That I'd die to kiss for one last time. Take the pills to fall asleep, To dream of a place far away, Where my world is bright, Never dull, nor grey. Rip the knife through my skin, To watch my blood race out, To empty my Veins, To just pass out. So I can run to that place. Run into his arms Feel his warmth and love To loath in his beautiful charm. But I can't waste my #life. Especially for him. For I loved him once. And I will love again. As time goes by, You finally fade, From my mind from my body. I send you away. So I say goodbye, And for the last time. I'm too good for you. And I'll never make you mines . 3
