On The Move: Damn Box Once we arrived in New-York we drove the lorry (with all our belongings in) through all of the long, bright streets of New-York. Hours later, at around ten o'clock we reached our new neighbourhood - 'Panel Lane.' It's a beautiful setting, it's like we where in a totally different part of the country. We pulled up into our drive and our house is just amazing, it has big windows, perfectly cut green grass, a blossom tree, grand double doors, it looks like it belongs to a very, very rich person. I'm pretty proud of my mums choice actually. "So, you like it?" My mum asked. "No, I love it! It's amazing mum!" I squealed. "Well I'm glad you like it." "L-O-V-E it." "Okay, okay." She raised her hands in defeat, "Now lets get out of this lorry and get everything unpacked." She exclaimed as we both opened the lorry doors. Mum taken some things inside while I am left with the big boxes, great. My mum is so damn lazy, I bet she's sat on her bloody arse. I decided on picking up one of the boxes and then I went waddling over to the front door, man I'm slow. Unfortunately I was loosing my balance and the box dropped on the floor with lots of kitchen utensils and cutlery spilling out of it. "Damn it! Why, why, why." I stood up and cursed the box until I realised I was in a neighbourhood, with lots of houses. Damn it Iris. Slowly I turned around and looked for anyone who could have seen my stupidness, wow. To my luck... there's a guy stood on the path about five feet behind me with his brow raised, looking over at me. His chocolate brown hair is brushed up out of his face, I can really see his green eyes - woah. His skin is quite tanned, mine likewise. Oh god, I'm staring at him. Iris fix this quick! I forced a smile onto my face bravely waved my hand a little, trying to look innocent. He smiled, showing small dimples and started to jog over to me. "Need any help?" He has a thick accent that I could notice from anywhere, an Irish accent! Wait, what's he doing all the way over here in America? "Eh, yes please. I'm clumsy ha..." I laughed and he joined in with me. "Liam." He smirked and stuck his hand out, "Iris." I smiled up at him and shook his hand happily. I bent over to pick up the things that had fallen on the floor, I heard him cough but it sounded sort of like a gasp and that's when I realised I had bent over... So I awkwardly crouched down onto my knees, as did he. "So, your new here... or?" Liam asked. "Well no, I just moved in from across the street." I joked and grinned up at him. "Oh yeah, very funny. So what school are you going to?" "Some place about a mile away from here... Southerndale High School," "Ha, that's where I go." Well that didn't really come as any surprise to be honest but I guess it will be pretty cool going to the same school as Liam. "Not to be rude or anything but your Irish right? Why are you in America?" I asked whilst trying to be polite. "Your English right? Why are you in America?" A giggle escaped my mouth and I couldn't help realise the smirk spread across his face before he began laughing, a cute, innocent laugh. Urg shut up Iris. This sounds like some sort of cheesy movie already. "Looks like we're done here, see you around Iris." Liam exclaimed, "Yeah, see you around Liam." There was a big grin spread across my face, it's my first day here and I've already met someone - a guy.
