First Wish Of The New Year (3).
The bright sun drew me warily out of my sleep and down the stairs into the kitchen. It was Wednesday, and that left me with 2 days left of school. I pretty much hated school, because who makes you go to school like a couple days after Christmas?
Our school, apparently.
This year, New Years Eve was on Saturday. And when I say a week until The New Years Party, I mean half a week, because a week for me isn't like a normal week, as I am a very busy person.
So in fact, New Years Eve was in 3 days, and counting.
Hehe.
As I released all thoughts, I sat at the breakfast table, and gulped down half a glass of orange juice, and hummed along to the radio my mum had so kindly switched on. That's when she handed me a bowl and spoon, and allowed me to pour as much cornflakes as I wanted into the bowl she'd just given me.
Then, after breakfast, I trailed up the stairs, changed, washed, brushed both my hair and teeth, then skipped back down the stairs and out the door to school.
I met Jay half way down the path.
She greeted me with an OTT hug.
"God, I hope your okay. Everything's alright babe. Don't worry" she babbled.
"Uh, Jay, what are you waffling on about, may I ask?" I asked, frowning.
Her lips twitched.
I wasn't sure whether she was going to smile, or growl.
"I texted you at least twenty times. Is your phone not on? Or could you not be bothered to reply?" she stated bitterly.
I just rolled my eyes.
"My phone is currently out of use, remember?"
"Whatever. Anyway, Missy bagged Jacob. Over night was all it took, apparently. Guess we'll just have to go in a group again".
