Recovered I am now able to go about my daily #life; the pain has gone. I walked into the kitchen in shock. There was mess everywhere! Flour covered one wall, egg and sugar the others. The Princesses had obviously been making something. I grabbed a mop, dustpan,brush etc and got to work. Three hours later, I heard the princesses come home; their laughter rang through the halls. I scurried out of the kitchen, and went away. Usually, the royals weren't allowed to see the servants. However, they spotted me almost immediately! "Hey, Tanya, right?" Enquired Harriet "Yes ma'am, that is my name. Is there something I can get you?" I replied "Umm, no thanks." She was obviously still shocked by the long scar that ran down my right cheek. "Why don't you come and ....play with us?" She continued "Are you sure ma'am?" I said "Yes, of course!! And stop calling me ma'am, my name is Harriet!" "Ok...Harriet!" She headed off to her bedroom, and I followed. Maybe being a servant isn't as bad as it seems.

Nightmares I walk down the packed street, my boots rubbing my bare feet. Someone has stolen my socks, and I don't know where they are. Eventually, I find the bakery, and enter. A warm smell of bread enters my nostrils, and I wish so much that I could have some. I buy a few loaves using the pennies given to me by cook. I take them home, but it is so jam packed that I arrive late. I go through the servants entrance, and find a furious figure waiting for me "TANYA!! " she screamed " YOU'RE LATE, YOU LAZY SCUM!!" "I'm sorry Cook, the village-" "I DONT CARE IF THE VILLAGE HAS BEEN INVADED BY ALIENS!! GIVE THAT HERE!!" And with that she snatches the loaves out of my hands, and tells me that I need a punishment. She brings out a whip, a cruel instrument of death. I turn, and try to run, screaming for help, but it is too late. A searing pain lashes across my face, and I fall. Then my back, again and again. Blood seeps through the ragged cuts in my uniform, staining it a permanent red. The last thing I feel is Queen Elsa placing her cold hand on my forehead... I wake up in a bed with silk covers. I try to move, to do my daily routine, but I can't. I am in too much pain. Suddenly, a blurred figure enters the room and comes to sit beside me. When my eyes focus, I see that it's Elsa. I try to say something, but all that comes out of my mouth is a whimper. She smoothes my hair out of my face, and tells me to go to sleep. I close my eyes, planning to get up when she leaves, but I can't resist the haziness of sleep, and soon I am dreaming again. Not dreams though, nightmares.

Morning Activities I wake up at around six, and hurriedly jump out of my bed in the attic. I pull on my clothes, and head downstairs, where I begin my daily chores, dusting and mopping. I am the newest servant here, and I know no other servant. They are all mean to me anyway, they hate me. I scurry down the corridor, but I bump into someone along the way. Someone who is not a servant, they are dressed in fine blue silk. Oh! It's Queen Elsa!! I curtesy immediately. "Beg pardon ma'am, I did not see you there!" I say anxiously. "That's ok, I wasn't harmed" she says Sighing in relief, I head past her, and off to do my jobs, when she calls me back. "Wait," she says " Are you the new maid?" "Yes ma'am." I reply "What's your name?" She demands "I'm Tanya, ma'am." I say "That's a pretty name" "Not as pretty as yours, ma'am!" I head off this time, and she doesn't interrupt again. When I get to the kitchen, there is hustle and bustle. Everyone is running everywhere, trying to make the breakfast for the ever-growing royal family. "TANYA! " the cook shouts" MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL AND SET THE TABLE!! NOW!" "Where is the cutlery?" I ask timidly "YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS, I HAVE SHOWED YOU BEFORE!!" And with that, she slaps me over the head, and I reel back in shock. I back out of the kitchen, and then remember where the cutlery is. I head there, my head still throbbing. I set the table hazily, and stand aside as the Royals come in. First Elsa, then Anna, then everyone else follows. I am continuously pouring them drinks, or serving them food. I am so jealous; all i get are the leftovers!!
