Shannon Stuart

I am a mother of 8 and grandmother of 7 (this June), a wife and a teacher (having just left the public field arena this past September. I am picking up the creative threads that I really haven't had much time to engage in over the last 30 years as I had the majority of my children,ended a marriage, completed my Bachelor's degree, remarried, began teaching, had another baby and 2 miscarriages, and escorted the majority of my children into adulthood. My life has been and still is very full with my 2 youngest (18 and 10 this year) sons still below high school graduation, but slowed down enough that I am able to engage in a few things that are simply for my (and my husband's) pleasure and growth a little more often. I am learning to knit, create books from scratch (cover to cover and the pages and words within). Drawing and designing are becoming a passion as well. I am reading books I have longed to and never had much time to complete. But mostly I am spending time with my Heavenly Father growing as a Christian and learning things He has been pointing me toward for the last 40 years. And I am being a fully time mom to my sons with whom I've been employed elsewhere all of their lives (whether my 18 year old needs it or not!). I am also being a full time wife to my very patient, kind, sweet and loving adorable husband, Greg, who has been more special than any human being has ever been to me because of the love he constantly showers on me even when he should be the focus of the attention. I love him so dearly and I never thought I would have someone as special as he is in my life again after I lost my fiancé at age 18 (but I wasn't going to settle for any less ever again). God has blessed me beyond all imagination! I am looking forward to what He has in store for me/us as time goes on!
