Do you enjoy reading shared lyrics and #quotes, even though they have not been written by the poster? Personally I don't mind as long as they are credited, but I still would like to see more original writing than reposts on my feed, which is why I'm picky with who I follow. The Weight Of Your Words Nothing beats the feeling of holding a book full of your own work, freshly finished. Be it a sketchbook, a notebook, a diary, a manuscript or even a workbook. Nothing beats that feeling of satisfaction. I remember the first time I filled up a workbook at school when I was probably only 8 years old or so. It was my English Language school book and I was so proud of it. I found it again last night for the first time in years, and I still felt that warm satisfaction when I turned the last page. Even now, when I fill a notebook, I like to hold it between my palms for a moment. Run my thumb along the worn, dog-eared pages. Hear the creak of the broken spine. Feel the weight of all my words.

Warped Perspective Of The Young I was once a little girl with big plans. The smallness of my form did not dictate the size of my dreams. Now I am a big girl, and I have small but carefully laid plans. Meticulously thought out. Plans A through to Z. But no longer as majestic as the plans of that child-I-once-was. The world is a big and scary place. Why is it that it seemed so small and simple to such a little girl?

Feel The Sun Yesterday I learned the importance of not sweating the small stuff. ---- I have been working hard for med school exams for weeks now. For me, that means spending all day every day shut inside, pouring over my books and flashcards. Don't get me wrong, I love my work. But for the first time in my #life, I have been struggling to find motivation. My work ethic has always been something I am proud of, but it has been failing me for these past few weeks. This caused me quite a large degree of distress. Am I lazy? Am I taking my education for granted? In the middle of a crisis, my dearest friend payed me a surprise visit. Against my will, she forced me to abandon my books and go out exploring for the day. We walked around London for maybe 6 hours. When I returned, I found myself eager to learn again. It turns out that all I really needed was to feel the sun.
