At A Knife Edge Chapter 1 The Dreamland I was back in a time I wanted to forget. The man that changed my #life forever was just meters away, his hands in the pockets of his light denim jeans and his jet black hair wavering in the wind. I knew that behind his mirrored sunglasses were set two stone grey eyes, staring straight back at me, emotionless. In desperation I wrestled with the tight cuffs but to no avail. The white door knob turned and the door opened. I still had time. I tugged with all the energy I had left, focusing it all on pulling the top right chain in which my hand was buckled into. Four people walked briskly through the open door. I could feel my hand squeezing ever so slightly through the cold metal chain, ignoring the throbbing pain and the four people getting ever closer i continued pulling at the shackles. Tick tock, Tick tock. The sound of time running out...
