Cold Granite' Stuart Macbride Cold Granite is very much a brutal portray of murder, crime and the ideas of society which are infested by the media and their subliminal messages. As much as I want to say this was a page turner it lacked something that I just can't seem to put my finger on. Whether it be the progression of the characters or the interlinking events something is missing. Saying this, I would in fact read the next book in the series, but with lower expectations. I think I was very much caught up in the hype of the reviews and possibly expected more than what was possible for an author to jam into medium sized read. However the book did sum up all loose ends without the reader feeling the need to read the next in the series, whether this is a good thing or not I am unsure at present.
