On That Fateful Night It was on that fateful night The world was deprived of all its light. Two wooden beams together were nailed Along with a man who could not be bailed. The people began to mourn The veil was torn. It was on that fateful night That it seemed all goodness was lost from sight. Then bursting forth in glorious day The sun cast its brilliant ray On a tombstone rolled away. It was on that fateful night That it seemed the world would no longer be bright But it was on that blessed morn' That a new world was born.
