A Christmas Story Never again would Brook Hughes agree to go to one of her friends stupid Christmas parties. She had her long, dirty blonde hair up in a ponytail and was wearing an elf costume so she wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb at the party. The costume came to rest right above her knees, actually having suppose to go to her knees but it was hard to find a costume that fit right when you were taller than most girls. There was a little green hat that set perfectly on her head to go with the costume that she had already decided she was going to keep just because it was too cute to throw away. She sighed and shuffled out of her dull apartment bathroom and into the living room where she grabbed her keys before walking to the door. She took one last look back at her small apartment, only built to house two, before exiting it. It had been all she could afford at the time she had bought it, just having been fresh out of high school and not wanting to stay in a dorm with some stranger. She had come to love the place though, after all it did what she needed it too and that was a blessing it's self. She got into her white VW beetle that had been a present from her parents on her sixteenth birthday and backed out of the apartment complex before heading to her friends house all the way across town. After getting there she got out, making sure to lock her car behind her, she walked up to the small house and knocked on the door. Her friend, Abigail Summers, answered it quickly and pulled Brook inside. "I'm so glad you made it, I have someone I have been dying for you to meet," she squealed before beginning to drag her through the house. She just rolled her eyes at the girl before she looked up, letting her eyes come to rest on him.
