The Arctic- A Short #poem This lonely landscape, the breaking ice, Once is enough, don’t do it twice Us poor animals, it’s not fair We could die, does nobody care? All our homes are melting away, Humans have done it, they should pay The ice is melting because of the heat, Now the humans have won, there’s nothing to eat. The death, the ice, It’s all too much, The ice is so small, it feels like a hutch Soon there will be no ice left, The humans took it, their crime is theft All those gases, all those fumes I can see our death as it looms You can barely walk, you might fall in, I need my babies, I need my kin Come on humans what’s the point, Our poor bodies, our achy joints So basically what I’m trying to say, Please don’t kill us, we want to stay!
