Deal With The Devil I stopped pacing and smiled at the man before me. "Sir, I will definitely have the money by the end of the week this time" he stuttered, looking at me fearfully. "No need for that Lawrence. It's been six week already" I sighed,"did you read the fine print of the contract?" "No, why" his voice carried a hint of accusation. I produced an envelope from my pocket and handed it to him. He ripped the letter out of it and scanned the minuscule font before dropping it, laughing. I knelt down and picked it up, looking at the fine print myself. 'If payment has not been given within the set deadlines your soul will be sent to burn in hell for an eternity' "Y-You don't believe in that nonsense do you?" He wiped away tears of laughter. "Lawrence, I wouldn't be so quick as to dismiss everything as a lie or myth" I warned, smirking at him. "Come now, it's ridiculous-" he began again, the saw the ripples in the glass of water on the table,"what's that" I didn't reply, instead I out stretched a hand and clenched my fist. He collapsed, flopping on the ground gasping like a fish out of water. The ground beneath him began to glow red and turned black like charcoal. It began cracking until the ground beneath him was made of small black stones, glowing with heat. "N-No, stop this! I-I'll sue you" he threatened. I laughed as he began to sink into the stones,"See you in hell" I whispered before he was jerked downwards. The stones fitted back into a neat mosaic upon the floor then the texture changed until it was a carpet, indistinguishable from the rest of the floor. A figure rose from the ground, dark, tall and hooded. "Thank you, haven't had any truly fresh souls for months, your debt is repaid" his voice was strong and clear. "Lucifer, what happens to him now?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me. "That is not your problem, farewell" with that smoke clouded the room and when it cleared he was gone. Taaadaaa!!! What did you think? I was bored so I wrote this. If you have any suggestions on what I should write feel free to comment. X Jit cleared, he was gone.
